Where we deliver

Right now we deliver within Kolkata and Howrah only — we do not yet have an outstation courier arrangement, so a pincode outside this area cannot be checked out. Enter your pincode at checkout and the site will confirm it before you pay.

For bars, restaurants, hotels and retail outside this area, write to cal@caldera.rocks — this page is about direct-to-door delivery only.

Dispatch time

Orders are dispatched within one working day of payment clearing. Orders placed on a Sunday or a public holiday are dispatched the next working day.

If anything delays dispatch beyond that — stock, weather, a courier strike — we tell you, rather than letting you wonder.

Delivery estimates

• Kolkata & Howrah city — same day, on orders placed before 8 pm; orders after the cutoff go out the next day. These are delivered by same-day courier partners, not by a freight courier.

These are estimates from our courier partners, not guarantees. Festival weeks, extreme weather and regional disruption can add a day or two.

Delivery charges

Delivery within Kolkata and Howrah is free on every pack. It is shown to you in the cart and again at checkout, before you pay, same as any delivery cost would be if that ever changes.

Pack prices are inclusive of all applicable taxes.

How it is packed

Every pack travels in a moulded insert inside a double-wall carton. 330 ml glass is heavy and fragile, and that is the only way it arrives intact.

It is also why we sell packs of 12 and 24 and not single bottles: shipping one bottle costs more than the bottle, and it arrives broken far more often than it should.

Bottles are shipped at ambient temperature, not chilled. Refrigerate before serving — it is at its best at around 4°C.

Tracking

You get a dispatch email with the courier name and tracking number as soon as the pack leaves us. Tracking usually goes live within a few hours of the scan.

If delivery fails

Couriers normally attempt delivery up to three times. Please keep the phone number you gave us reachable — most failed deliveries are a missed call rather than a wrong address.

If a pack comes back to us undelivered because the address was incomplete, nobody was available across all attempts, or delivery was refused without cause, we refund the value of the goods and deduct the actual return freight. If the failure was ours, you are refunded in full.

Spotted a mistake in your address? Write to us immediately. We can usually correct it before dispatch; after dispatch it depends on the courier.
